Rising demands for efficiency and cost control are forcing the beverage industry to optimise its maintenance processes. KHS offers a solution with the extended version of ConnectApp Guides, which aims not only to reduce maintenance costs but also to increase plant availability.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

A significant advancement in the new version is the shift from rigid, time-based maintenance schedules to dynamic, usage-dependent maintenance intervals. Traditionally, maintenance work was carried out at fixed intervals, regardless of whether the machines were in operation or not.<\/p>\r\n

With the new ConnectApp Guides feature, maintenance tasks will now be scheduled based on the actual operating hours of the machines. \u201eTime-based scheduling has proven itself as the standard, but needs-based control significantly optimises this process further,\u201c explains Deniz Ulut\u00fcrk, Product Manager Digital Products at KHS.<\/p>

In addition to dynamic task management, ConnectApp Guide integrates complete parts lists for machines directly from the factory. This allows users to manage spare parts more efficiently and reduces the need for time-consuming research. Employees have access to up-to-date maintenance information at all times, which increases the quality of maintenance work performed and minimises queries.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The ConnectApp Guide digitises essential CILT tasks (Cleaning, Inspection, Lubrication, Tightening) and guides personnel through processes like a task manager. This not only significantly reduces training times but also contributes to long-term plant availability. According to KHS, beverage manufacturers report up to 80 percent shorter training times.<\/p>
