Stora Enso's plant in Oulu is Finland's first pulp mill to receive FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification) certification. For customers, the certification offers assurance of the entire value chain.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The FSSC 22000 certification is proof that Stora Enso's Oulu mill meets the stringent requirements for food safety systems. This certification, previously achieved for Kraftliner production in 2021 and folding-boxboard production in 2025, marks another milestone in the transformation of the Oulu mill into one of Europe's most advanced integrated packaging material sites.<\/p>\r\n

Stora Enso's Oulu mill uses the majority of its pulp in its own board production. Made from fresh fibres, the board meets high quality and purity requirements, particularly for food packaging. The certification of the entire production process, from the pulp mill and board machines to the cutting plant and port terminal, is reflected in the mill's daily operations, which are characterised by strict hygiene measures, uniform procedures, and comprehensive expertise.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
