After its launch in Italy, the United States is the first country outside its home market to have the technology available. The focus is on an innovative single-dose system that aims to work without capsules, individual packets, or coatings.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tabl\u00ec utilises so-called Coffee Tabs, which Lavazza states consist exclusively of coffee. The portions are formed using a specially developed technology from ground and compressed coffee. The company speaks of five years of development work and more than 15 patents that have been incorporated into the system.<\/p>\n<h2>Alternatives to capsule systems<\/h2>\n<p>With Tabl\u00ec, Lavazza is addressing the growing market for single-serve coffee. Unlike conventional capsule systems, the tabs are intended to be used without additional packaging components. Instead, the compacted coffee portion itself takes on the function of the portion format. Whether and to what extent this results in material savings compared to established capsule systems is not apparent from the information provided.<\/p>\n<h2>USA as the first foreign market<\/h2>\n<p>With the introduction of Tabl\u00ec, Lavazza is pursuing an accelerated growth strategy in North America. The company describes the market launch as its biggest investment in the US market to date.<\/p>\n<p>Tabl\u00ec can already be pre-ordered in the USA. The official sales launch is scheduled for August 2026.
