Mets\u00e4 Board has commissioned a new extrusion coating line in Husum, Sweden. According to the company, the state-of-the-art coating line has an annual capacity of over 100,000 tonnes and represents an investment volume of 38 million euros.<\/p>\n

The new extrusion coating line is intended to global food market<\/strong> and offer better availability and competitive products. Mets\u00e4 Board's PE-coated paperboards are a response to the high demands of the food market and offer product safety, purity and protection.<\/p>\n

From Fresh wood fibres<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The cardboard boxes made from pure and renewable Fresh wood fibres<\/strong> offer an alternative to plastic for cups, plates and other takeaway packaging as well as for frozen food packaging. The cartons are also suitable for other consumer goods and food packaging. PE is currently the most common barrier material against moisture and water in food packaging.<\/p>

At the Husum site, Mets\u00e4 Board already operates an efficient Kraftliner machine<\/strong> with a capacity of 270,000 tonnes, as well as a modern production facility that went into operation at the beginning of 2016.
