The new AP20 position indicator from Siko is particularly suitable for flexible use in production machines where spindles are adjusted manually. At FachPack 2018, the Buchenbach-based company will also be showcasing the AP20S variant, which is suitable for use within the smart factory.<\/p>\n

The bus-compatible position indicators AP20 and AP20s<\/strong> for position detection according to Siko<\/strong> cost-intensive machine set-up times when changing products. They are suitable for packaging machines and printing machines, among others.<\/p>\n

The compact system with dimensions of 48 x 88 x 61 millimetres shows the Position data<\/strong> and forwards it to the machine control system. The device status can also be analysed. Comprehensive Network diagnostics options<\/strong> and an electronic type plate. User guidance is provided via two-colour status LEDs and a two-line LCD display.<\/p>

Magnetic sensor for intelligent additional functions<\/h2>\n

In conjunction with the external linear MS500H magnetic sensor<\/strong> the AP20S combines the functionality of a high-precision linear absolute encoder with that of a position indicator.<\/p>\n

The Simple system integration<\/strong> of the module is guaranteed by Siko through the provision of various communication interfaces. These include \u201eSIKONET5\u201c as well as CAN, Profinet, Ethernet, EtherCAT and Powerlink.<\/p>\n

The Siko module is fitted with a stainless steel hollow shaft for installation. The standard hollow shaft diameter is 20 millimetres. Diameters of up to 25.4 millimetres are possible as an option.<\/p>\n
