According to the company, the positive business development worldwide and the acquisition of Cremer Speciaalmachines B.V. were the decisive factors here.<\/p>\n<p>Uhlmann's employees are seen as the most important success factor. \u201eThe experience and motivation of long-standing employees, a high training rate and impetus from outside through new hires - these were important elements for the positive development of our group of companies,\u201c explains Tobias Uhlmann, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Uhlmann.<\/p>\n<p>At Uhlmann Pac-Systeme GmbH &amp; Co. KG in Laupheim, incoming orders for pharmaceutical packaging solutions in the 2016\/2017 financial year were well above the projected figures. For software products such as <strong>Track &amp; Trace systems<\/strong> order intake was even twice as high as planned. Uhlmann also expects a further increase in demand in the <strong>Digitisation<\/strong> - a topic that is becoming increasingly important for pharmaceutical packaging. The USA and China also recorded pleasing growth. Uhlmann USA demonstrated its expertise in <strong>Used machines<\/strong> for the global market: the Rebuild Packaging Systems division modernised numerous systems and lines last year. Uhlmann China is characterised by its systematic project management and intensive support after the purchase of a system, both for local pharmaceutical companies and international groups. Uhlmann India also closed its first full financial year above plan. Overall, the Asian region offers good business opportunities for Uhlmann.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201eWe have already positioned ourselves for the increasing demand. Our new hall for assembly and logistics, which we opened in Laupheim in 2016, offers sufficient space for further growth,\u201c says Uhlmann Managing Director Siegfried Drost.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Uhlmann Group expands<\/h2>\n<p>In addition to Uhlmann, other companies belong to the Uhlmann Group: <strong>KOCH<\/strong>, <strong>Cremer<\/strong>, <strong>Wonder<\/strong> and <strong>visiotec<\/strong>. KOCH Pac-Systeme GmbH, based in Pfalzgrafenweiler, was the main contributor to the Group's record sales. Cremer Speciaalmachines B.V. also joined the Uhlmann family in December 2016. With the Dutch specialist for counting systems, Uhlmann is expanding its strategic offering and further strengthening its market position in the packaging of tablets and capsules in bottles.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201eIncluding the acquisition, the Uhlmann Group increased its turnover by 28 % to 374 million euros in the past financial year.
