Mondi has developed a new water-soluble, completely biodegradable film. It is suitable for packaging granulates, powders, tabs and bath salts, which are to be individually portioned. It could also be used for agricultural chemicals or for coating cement bags.<\/p>\n

A new\u00a0Water-soluble film<\/strong>\u00a0for household and hygiene products has been developed by the international packaging and paper specialist Mondi. According to the company, it is particularly suitable for the packaging and dosing of granulates, powders, tabs and bath salts. The sealing and thermoforming properties of the new technical film, as well as its reliable function as a sealant, are cited as product advantages.\u00a0Oxygen barrier<\/strong>\u00a0called.<\/p>\n

The film also dissolves completely in cold water and is also completely\u00a0Biodegradable<\/strong>, free of harmful substances and non-inhibiting. Consumers do not come into direct contact with the contents when using products packaged with this film.<\/p>

Oliver Sperber, Chief Innovation Officer at Mondi Consumer Packaging, points to the successful cooperation between the research and development departments and customers in the development of the new film. A joint project to develop new flowpack washer tabs has led to a next-generation packaging innovation.<\/p>\n

In addition to the food and household sectors, film is also used in the packaging of\u00a0Agricultural chemicals<\/strong>, fertilisers, seeds and disinfectants.
