Former Vice President Roland Stra\u00dfburger is the new President of the Industrievereinigung Kunststoffverpackungen. He succeeds Roland Roth, who held the office for eight years.<\/p>\n

Strasbourg<\/strong> has been CEO of the Contactor<\/strong> GmbH & Co. KGaA. Mr Stra\u00dfburger has been a member of the IK Board since 2009 as a representative of the IBC specialist group. The new chairman wants to improve the public perception of Plastic<\/strong> especially its contribution to climate protection and resource conservation.<\/p>\n

\u201eWhile the often emotional discussions surrounding Plastic packaging<\/strong> to the undoubtedly important issue of marine litter,
\nwe want to give the actual function of plastic packaging more space again,\u201c says Stra\u00dfburger about the challenges in the association's work.
\nHe identified the following topics as important fields of action for the plastics packaging industry Sustainability and recycling<\/strong>. These are of particular importance against the background of the EU plastics strategy and the German Packaging Act.<\/p>
