The exhibiting companies have announced more than 130 world premieres and trade fair innovations. Around 57,000 visitors are expected to attend.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Until 21 February, it's all about the <strong>Stuttgart Exhibition Centre<\/strong> In line with the event's motto, the focus was once again on \u201eIntralogistics at first hand: Intelligent - Efficient - Innovative\u201c. As the renowned intralogistics trade fair was already almost fully booked in the summer of last year, the organisers of the Munich-based <strong>Euroexpo Messe- und Kongress-GmbH<\/strong> all the space that Landesmesse Stuttgart has to offer. In this respect, Hall 2 and the Gallery in Hall 1 will also be occupied for the first time this year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">The number of new exhibitors has also risen significantly due to the increased exhibition space. More than 250 companies are exhibiting for the first time at the <strong>LogiMAT<\/strong> out. Trade fair project manager Michael Ruchty also emphasises the <strong>High number of international exhibitors<\/strong> emerged. Around a third of the more than 1,600 participating companies come from other European countries. The main focal point for the packaging industry will be the area around Halls 4 and 6. There will be <strong>Packaging, weighing systems, containers and labelling techniques<\/strong> will be presented. Specifically, exhibitors will be showing turntable stretch wrappers, 3D centre of gravity scales and solutions for mobile 3D freight measurement, digital security printers, tamper-proof labels and advanced RFID printers, labels and applications, as well as returnable solutions from the field of Logistics 4.0. (Image: Euroexpo Messe- und Kongress-GmbH)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"western\">Traditionally, the most strongly represented companies at LogiMAT are the <strong>Machine and plant manufacturer<\/strong>. They will be showcasing their solutions in Halls 1, 3, 5 and 7 as well as in part of Hall 2. The remaining space in Hall 2 will be occupied by the joint stand \u201eInnovation Made in Germany\u201c. Visitors will also find \u201eTradeWorld\u201c, the competence platform for retail processes with offers relating to e-commerce and omnichannel marketing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Halls 6 and 8 are dedicated to the second largest exhibitor group, the suppliers of <strong>Software solutions for intralogistics<\/strong>. The LogiMAT organisers are delighted that all leading manufacturers of industrial trucks will be present in Stuttgart. Their products can be found in Halls 9 and 10, while driverless transport systems will once again be on display in Hall 7.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"western\">Supporting programme raises trade fair to congress level<\/h2>\n<p class=\"western\">LogiMAT has always emphasised that it is more than \u201ejust\u201c a trade fair. With the extensive supporting programme of more than 30 top-class specialist forums and live events, the organisers emphasise that it reaches congress level. How AI will change intralogistics will be the topic of the first of the three forums on the first day of the trade fair from 11 a.m. in Forum Area A in Hall 1. The discussion will continue on 21 February. Forum area T in hall 2 will focus on the development prospects of AI and robotics in logistics. How can production data be used sensibly for AI applications? The speakers will be discussing this on the same day in Forum D in Hall 8.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"western\">\u201eOver the past decade, LogiMAT has more than quintupled the influx of international visitors overall, as well as visitors from overseas.\u201c<br \/>\n<b>Michael Ruchty<\/b>, Project Manager of LogiMAT Stuttgart<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"western\">Exciting insights into packaging logistics 4.0<\/h2>\n<p class=\"western\">For visitors from the packaging sector, the forum \u201eReady for the <strong>Packaging logistics 4.0<\/strong>. Smart tools and innovative solutions\u201c will be of particular interest. Rolf Jansen will be moderating it on Wednesday, 20 February 2019, from 14:30 to 15:45 in Forum C in Hall 4. Prof. Dr Jansen is Chairman of the Board of the Association for the Promotion of Innovative Processes in Logistics (VVL), which organises the forum. In terms of content, the VVL feeds the forum programme from the work of its various institutes, which have been working together with project partners on innovative solutions for packaging logistics for many years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Four presentations are planned as part of the forum. Denis Vukovic from the Institute for Distribution and Trade Logistics at the VVL will present ways in which <strong>Condition data of transported goods<\/strong> can be determined using sensors over a long period of time. Christian Bl\u00e4ul, Head of IT at Quodata GmbH from Dresden, shows how a smartphone app can be used to determine the actual <strong>Shelf life of milk<\/strong> can be displayed. Jens Bucher from the Technical University of Dortmund, for his part, addresses the <strong>The potential of 3D printing<\/strong> to produce packaging \u201eon demand\u201c.
