Baumer hhs will be presenting itself at CCE International 2019 as an expert in the application of adhesives in the production of corrugated board packaging. The Krefeld-based company will be showcasing complete solutions for glue application and quality control.<\/p>\n

At CCE International from 12 to 14 March 2019 in Munich, which is being held in parallel with the converting trade fair ICE Europe 2019, everything revolves around the production and further processing of corrugated board and folding cartons. Baumer hhs will be exhibiting multipoint gluer cold glue application systems as well as solutions for the Adhesive application<\/strong> and quality control in the Inliner production<\/strong> of folding cartons. In multipoint gluers, contactless cold glue systems ensure the high quality of the adhesive application. The application quality is monitored either with sensors or, for more complex requirements, with Xcam high-performance camera systems.<\/p>\n

Bauer hhs offers two main solutions for the Hot melt systems<\/strong>Xmelt as a solution including hot melt sensors for Gluing machines<\/strong> and Flexicoat PSA as a flexible solution for packaging used in online retail. The latter is characterised by a valve for the surface application of pressure-sensitive adhesives and a matching melter.<\/p>

Control units provide extensive statistical functions<\/h2>\n

Adhesive application and quality control are each controlled by\u00a0Xtend3<\/sup>-Control units<\/strong>. These provide production managers with access to process data at any time and also offer extensive statistical functions.<\/p>\n

Contactless gluing systems for inliner production<\/h2>\n

As a solution for inliner production, Baumer hhs refers, among other things, to the contactless gluing systems with water bath, such as the Inverto\u201e glue plant\u201c<\/strong>. This offers a wide range of options for bonding inliners in Folding boxes<\/strong> The new system has two main functions in a cutting guide: contactless adhesive application on the inner and outer flaps and glue control from above and below.<\/p>\n

For the Quality assurance<\/strong> Baumer is touting its camera-based box monitoring process as the most important tool in inliner production. This performs slot depth measurements, register checks and GAP measurements. In GAP measurement, a high-resolution camera is combined with a laser beam to check the finished products in front of the counting station.<\/p>\n
