On 26 February 2019, it was announced that the leading provider of reusable packaging solutions for fresh produce was to be acquired by Triton and a company from Abu Dabi for USD 2.51 billion. Subject to successful review by the authorities, the sale is expected to be completed in the second quarter of this year.<\/p>\n<p>The intention to sell was announced by <strong>Brambles<\/strong> back in August of last year. The buyers who have now been found, <strong>Triton<\/strong> and a wholly owned subsidiary of the <strong>Abu Dhabi Investment Authority<\/strong> (ADIA), have formed a partnership to <strong>IFCO<\/strong> 100 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>IFCO is a strong company from both a financial and market share perspective, according to the Munich-based company. This means that more than 1.3 billion deliveries are made every year. In the 2018 financial year, IFCO therefore generated a <strong>Record result<\/strong>. For the first time, turnover exceeded one billion US dollars. The annual result thus grew by eight per cent.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201eThis is a promising step for our company. I am personally convinced of this development and look forward to working with Triton and ADIA.\u201c<\/p>\n<h2>Partnership-based cooperation is the aim<\/h2>\n<p>Triton was founded in 1997 and is one of the leading <strong>Fund company<\/strong>. Nine funds under the Triton umbrella focus on companies in the industrial, services, consumer goods and healthcare sectors. The Triton funds invest in medium-sized companies based in Europe. The aim in each case is to achieve a long-term <strong>Cooperation in partnership<\/strong>. Triton states that it currently has 37 companies in its portfolio, which employ a total of 84,000 people and are based on a <strong>Total turnover of 13 billion euros<\/strong> come.<\/p>\n<p>ADIA, in turn, was founded in 1976 and makes investments worldwide on behalf of the Abu Dabi government. Since 1989 the company has been <strong>Private equity sector<\/strong>\u00a0is active.
