The 14th event of this kind organised by Plastics Europe broke all previous records.<\/p>\n<p>340 participants listened to more than 50 presentations by renowned experts. The <strong>IdentiPlast<\/strong> once again the largest conference on the subject of recycling and <strong>Recycling of used plastics<\/strong> in Europe, is pleased <strong>Plastics Europe<\/strong>. The industry association of plastics manufacturers organised IdentiPlast together with the British Plastics Federation (BPF).<\/p>\n<h2>Plastics industry shares responsibility<\/h2>\n<p>At the opening of the conference, the presidents of the organising associations, Bruce Margetts for the BPF and Javier Constante for PlasticsEurope, emphasised the industry's shared responsibility in tackling the current environmental challenges around <strong>Plastic waste<\/strong>. Speakers reported on projects from Europe, Ghana, Colombia, Japan and North America. In addition to a video message from <strong>Therese Coffey<\/strong>, Member of the House of Commons and Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the Environment, there was also a speech from the European Commission.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201eWe are delighted to have been able to help bring together some of the best minds in recycling and waste management to highlight ways in which we can accelerate our progress towards a truly circular economy.\u201c<br \/>\n<strong>BPF Managing Director Philip Law<\/strong> is satisfied with IdentiPlast 2019<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Plastics as a driving force for growth and innovation<\/h2>\n<p>For the EU executive emphasised <strong>Daniel Calleja Crespo<\/strong> emphasised the important role of plastics as a key driver of growth and innovation in the European Union. This material should not be demonised, he said. The transition to <strong>Circular economy<\/strong> opens up great opportunities for the economy and society.<\/p>\n<p>Technical aspects when dealing with <strong>Plastic waste<\/strong> were the focus of the second day of the conference.
