The new product combines the anti-corrosion properties of VCI paper with the stability of corrugated cardboard.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rust protection papers<\/strong> reliably protect ferrous and non-ferrous metals from corrosion during storage or transport. The advantage of the so-called <strong>VCI papers<\/strong> (VCI = Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) is that conventional corrosion protection methods such as oils or greases can be dispensed with.<\/p>\n<h2>Corrosion protection paper is laminated directly onto corrugated cardboard<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Antalis packaging<\/strong> now presents its new product <strong>Masterboard<\/strong>. It combines the properties of VCI paper with the stability of corrugated cardboard. Thanks to a new production technique, the corrosion protection paper is applied directly to one or both sides of the corrugated board as required. <strong>Corrugated board<\/strong> concealed. It also saves work steps and material. Previously, a corrugated cardboard blank had to be packed between VCI paper layers as an intermediate layer, for example when packaging set goods. Instead of this three-layer construction, only one layer of anti-corrosion corrugated cardboard with lamination on both sides will be required in future. The <strong>Material savings<\/strong> is around 30 per cent.<\/p>\n<h2>Also suitable for automatic packaging lines<\/h2>\n<p>With cardboard boxes made from VCI corrugated cardboard, the additional <strong>VCI plastic bag<\/strong>. This is because the VCI active ingredients, which protect the product safely and sustainably against rust, are already incorporated into the cardboard packaging. Another advantage according to Antalis: the reduction to one article ensures process reliability throughout the entire packaging process.
