However, the continued pressure to reduce the environmental impact of single-use plastic packaging along the supply chain is driving brand owners, retailers, packaging manufacturers and consumers alike to<strong> more sustainable measures<\/strong> to.<\/p>\n<p>With an up to <strong>20% lower energy consumption<\/strong>, compared to the predecessor models, Sumitomo (SHI) Demag is launching two energy-optimised<strong> El-Exis SP machines<\/strong> to the K-2019 - a large and a smaller version. This allows processors to produce even thinner packaging items. Thanks to the special regulation of the hydraulic pressure during the loading of the accumulator, the machines now consume up to 20% less energy than the previous models.
