This means that the company with its pharmaceutical and food divisions will be retained as a whole.<\/p>\n<p>CVC, based in Luxembourg, is a leading private equity firm with 24 offices in Europe, Asia and the USA and currently manages more than USD 75 billion in capital. The parties signed an agreement on 11 July 2019 to transfer the entire packaging technology business, including the 6,100 employees in 15 countries. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price or any further details of the purchase agreement. Completion of the sale is subject to the approval of the relevant antitrust authorities and other authorisations. The transaction is expected to be finalised by the end of the year.<\/p>\n<h2>Positive prospects for the packaging machinery business<\/h2>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Dr Alexander Dibelius<\/strong>, Managing Partner of CVC, says: \u201eBosch Verpackungstechnik is a well-positioned company in an attractive market with long-term growth prospects. Together with the management team, we will work on further developing the business in the coming years and making it even more competitive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dr Stefan K\u00f6nig, Chairman of the Board of Management of Robert Bosch Packaging Technology GmbH, states: \u201eMy colleagues on the Board of Management and I see the new constellation with CVC as a great opportunity for our future success. We reorganised ourselves almost two years ago. This includes working on a completely new range of intelligent and sustainable process and packaging technologies. This will enable us to offer our customers even more attractive production solutions and services in the future. Our customers and our employees will benefit from these advances.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>Dr Stefan Hartung, Member of the Board of Management of Robert Bosch GmbH and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Robert Bosch Packaging Technology GmbH, explains: \u201eCVC convinced us with its experience in the long-term development of companies, its broad industrial expertise and a viable concept for the further development of the division. The growth concept presented and the planned investments are very promising. Our aim was to find a reliable and long-term orientated new owner for Packaging Technology with all its employees, under whom the business can develop successfully. We have achieved this goal.\u201c<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Bosch pools resources<\/h2>\n<p>Bosch announced a year ago that it was looking for a buyer for its packaging technology business. The company is increasingly focussing on the areas of mobility and connectivity via the Internet of Things. The company is concentrating its existing resources on future topics such as the transformation of the Group and the focus on further digitalisation.
