The development of serialisation systems is one of the tasks in which MG2 s.r.l. from Pianoro (BO) in Italy has specialised for several years. Traceability systems are developed in accordance with international standards. The ACE Track & Trace systems enable both the labelling and inspection of cartons, bottles and bundled products at the end-of-line.<\/p>\n

The Serialisation<\/strong> is a central issue for the pharmaceutical market<\/strong>. Since 9 February 2019, the standards of the FMD (Falsified Medicines Directive) have been required by law. This concerns both economic aspects and safety issues relating to patient health.<\/p>\n

In response, the EU is introducing the EMVS (European Medicines Verification System)<\/strong> one. In 2017 alone, counterfeit medicines worth almost 600 million euros were confiscated on import. This is a phenomenon that the EU wants to put a stop to by obliging its member states to equip production lines with serialisation systems and thereby reduce the risk of counterfeiting. ACE Track & Trace system<\/h2>\n

With this system from MG2, each element is fitted with a Unique identification code<\/strong> printed. The code is then checked to eliminate non-compliant elements. The speed can vary depending on the machine type and is up to 400 cartons per minute for the ACE CT\/400 model.<\/p>\n

All systems in the ACE series can also be equipped with a Tamper-Evident unit<\/strong> can be equipped. By attaching labels or stickers, it is possible to check whether the packaging is intact. It is also possible to integrate a weight control unit.<\/p>\n

Aggregation can be carried out using either the GSL10 (horizontal case packer) or the GTL30 (vertical case packer) system together with the B30 and GRP palletisers, which can be used for the line and the Automatic traceability<\/strong> complete.<\/p>\n

These machines can be easily equipped with different systems. Vision systems<\/strong> read, for example, the serial data printed on the products. Print management systems<\/strong> check the labels applied to the folding boxes so that non-compliant products are automatically ejected.<\/p>\n
