The new product was developed in collaboration with a large German retail company.

Compared to classic roll containers, the reusable transport solution offers a Significant space and therefore cost savings, as their volume can be reduced by 76 per cent when empty. In addition, the mobile containers are very stable and extremely easy to handle thanks to a patented quick coupling system. WALTHER Faltsysteme also offers the only roll container to date with Inmould barcode label.

The side rails and base plate of standard roller containers are firmly screwed together. It is therefore only possible to reduce the volume of the empty transport solutions by placing them inside each other. With the solution from WALTHER Faltsysteme, the side rails can be released using a pedal. The integrated mechanism behind this innovative Quick coupling system has already been patented.

After removing the side rails, up to 19 base plates can be installed thanks to special stacking troughs safe and uncomplicated stacking. The volume of the reusable transport solutions is reduced by up to 76 per cent, which means that the roll containers can be transported particularly efficiently when unloaded.

„No other roll container can be compacted so much. This is not only important because of the lower transport volume. This is a particularly important aspect in the food retail sector, as the logistics here are geared towards this, Manage seasonal peaks for example during the Christmas and Easter periods. This reduces the volume of the mobile pedestals by up to 76 per cent (Image: WALTHER Faltsysteme)

Durable and safe to handle

In addition to the space-saving design, the stability of the reusable transport solutions is also impressive. Standard roller containers on the market usually prove to be moderately stable when it comes to transporting goods weighing 500 kg and more. This is because the side rails are usually only held to the base plate by one fixing point each.

With the solution from WALTHER Faltsysteme, however, the side rails are each fixed to the base plate in three positions - without any screws. This makes the system more stable, more durable and safer.

The same is possible thanks to a new type of fixed castor protection. This protects the two stationary fixed castors, which, unlike the two swivel castors of a roller container, cannot turn away in the event of an impact, for example from an industrial truck. This minimises damage to the castors and increases their durability.

Thanks to these stabilisation systems, the roller containers can be used for many years. Should defects actually occur due to external influences that cannot be repaired, the Base plates recycled and reused as new.

To protect sensitive goods even better, intermediate shelves can currently be inserted into the side rails in five positions, so that the load is shifted. Depending on the requirements of the packaged goods, the intermediate shelves can also be attached to the side rails with clips.

„Our roll containers can be used for a variety of transport tasks in the warehouse and in the shop. With the intermediate shelves, for example, the transport solutions can also be converted into closed collection containers. This enables us to Maximum flexibility."

Dominik Lemken, Authorised signatory and Head of Project Management at WALTHER Faltsysteme

WALTHER Folding Systems at FachPack 2019: Hall 6, Stand 339

Source: WALTHER Faltsysteme GmbH

At FachPack 2019 in Nuremberg, WALTHER Faltsysteme will be presenting its first roll container for store and warehouse logistics.
[114,7
43,67,52
0":"post-25842","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-aus-den-unternehmen-news","8":"category-messen-und-veranstaltungen","9":"tag-aus-den-unternehmen","10":"tag-fachpack","11":"tag-logistik","12":"cs-entry","13":"cs-video-wrap
["GET
