The number of employees increased to 6,400 worldwide.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201eFor the current financial year, we expect slight sales growth despite numerous uncertainties.\u201c<br \/>\n<strong>Hans-Joachim Boekstegers, Managing Director of the MULTIVAC Group<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Investments in the global production network<\/h2>\n<p>In the future, too, the further <strong>Expansion of production capacities<\/strong> a high priority. At the company headquarters in Wolfertschwenden, for example, a new <strong>Competence centre<\/strong> for <strong>Slicer<\/strong> <strong>and automation solutions<\/strong> which will be completed in 2020. At approx.<strong> 17,000 square metres<\/strong> floor space will also be created there <strong>180 state-of-the-art office workstations<\/strong> and flexible conference and event rooms. At the Bruckm\u00fchl site, administration and production for the MULTIVAC subsidiary TVI will be concentrated on around 9,000 square metres \u201eon a greenfield site\u201c.<\/p>\n<p>There, a new <strong>Competence centre<\/strong> for <strong>Meat portioner<\/strong> which will also be put into operation in 2020. The highlight will be a new customer-orientated <strong>Application centre<\/strong>. In addition to this, MULTIVAC is planning to open the <strong>Manufacture of packaging machines and their peripheral components<\/strong>. In addition to production, the development and design departments will also be set up there. FRITSCH is <strong>Manufacturer of bakery machines<\/strong> headquartered in Markt Einersheim, Lower Franconia. Hans-Joachim Boekstegers joined the MULTIVAC Group as Managing Director in April 2001, and since then he has been instrumental in driving forward the successful development of the company.
