In this joint project, various flexible high-barrier monomaterials were used to test their recyclability. Each solution was carefully tested to ensure all industry requirements were met.

At the K 2019, a wide variety of Stand-up pouches made from monomaterials, such as MDO PE, BOPE, BOPP and CPP, which are the Requirements of a circular economy with a focus on mono-material films. In addition, the latest concepts for production systems and a New inline coating technology presented. The techniques of the Bobst Competence Centres were used for the suitability tests. In addition to monitoring the manufacturing process, the barrier effect and adhesion properties of the materials were tested.

Joint project realised

Dow leads the production chain as a resin supplier. Brückner Maschinenbau and Hosokawa Alpine represent extrusion. Brückner produced Biaxially stretched polyolefin films and Hasokawa Alpine MDO PE.
