Award for Koenig & Bauer's artificial intelligence: On 27 September 2019, the Group subsidiary Coding received the Steinbeis Foundation's transfer prize - the L\u00f6hn Prize - for the \u201eKyana - Predictive Maintenance with a Digital Twin\u201c project. The prize has been awarded since 2004 for outstanding projects and achievements in entrepreneurial knowledge and technology transfer.<\/p>\n

The Award ceremony<\/strong> took place as part of the Steinbeis tags<\/strong>, the annual networking event of the Steinbeis Network. The network creates a Platform for start-ups and projects<\/strong>. Around 6,000 experts implement projects in research, development, consulting and qualification in an entrepreneurial and practical manner.<\/p>\n

The L\u00f6hn Prize honoured the Koenig & Bauer Coding GmbH<\/strong> and the Steinbeis Research Centre Design and Systems<\/strong> with one of a total of four trophies.<\/p>

Kyana is a AI-based software solution<\/strong>, which are Voice control<\/strong> communicated and by means of Augmented Reality<\/strong> The complex inner workings of the printing system are presented in a clear and interactive way. As an intelligent assistant, Kyana will take on a wide range of tasks in future.<\/p>\n

In addition to training and operation she independently explains maintenance processes and service procedures<\/strong> and determines wear and material consumption at an early stage. At the same time, the system learns to analyse all external influences over the duration of its use. In this way, the knowledge gained is used to permanently optimise the system. high<\/strong> Print quality and maximum availability<\/strong> guarantee.<\/p>\n

Kyana is given a spatial presence with the help of augmented reality. The Enhanced visual perception<\/strong> allows a deeper understanding of the hardware and how it works.
