{"id":28998,"date":"2019-11-27T15:10:38","date_gmt":"2019-11-27T14:10:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/?p=28998"},"modified":"2020-08-11T13:54:56","modified_gmt":"2020-08-11T11:54:56","slug":"sappi-europe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/en\/sappi-europe\/","title":{"rendered":"Sappi Europe: New paper-based packaging solutions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nuremberg, Monaco and Brussels: Sappi Europe presented its packaging solutions at three trade fairs in recent weeks, including barrier papers, sealable packaging paper and a new type of folding boxboard.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>On the <strong>FachPack<\/strong> Sappi presented its new paper-based solution with integrated functionality for all those who want to replace composite packaging with a paper-based solution. <strong>Functional paper barrier papers Sappi Guard<\/strong>. The product family includes papers with <strong>Mineral oil barrier<\/strong> and one <strong>Fat barrier<\/strong> of Kit 11 or Kit 7. All Guard papers guarantee a high level of product safety and can be <strong>Recycle completely<\/strong>. Among the references already realised is the packaging for a new nut-fruit bar from a well-known branded goods manufacturer.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201eReducing the consumption of fossil raw materials in packaging is a major concern for us. That's why we have developed Sappi Seal, a functional paper whose integrated heat sealability is realised as a dispersion coating on the reverse side of the paper and can replace papers with a PE coating,\u201c explains <strong>Ren\u00e9 K\u00f6hler<\/strong>, Head of Business Development Packaging and Speciality Papers, described another new development from Sappi.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>On the <strong>Luxe Pack<\/strong> in Monaco, the paper and cardboard specialist recorded a significant increase in demand - contrary to the general trade fair trend.
