The two new papers and the grammage of 67 g\/m\u00b2 that is already available therefore represent sustainable alternatives to existing PE-coated paper packaging solutions.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201eWith Sappi Seal, fossil-based raw materials can be reduced by more than half, as the integrated heat sealability has been realised as a dispersion coating on the reverse side of the paper. In addition, the CO<sub>2<\/sub>-emissions by almost 50 per cent. This was the result of a study by Ecochain,\u201c explains <strong>Ren\u00e9 K\u00f6hler<\/strong>, Head of Business Development Packaging and Speciality Papers at Sappi.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Furthermore, the Sappi-Seal papers are <strong>100 % recyclable<\/strong> and can be supplied certified according to FSC (FSC C015022) and PEFC (PEFC\/07-32-76).<\/p>\n<p>The packaging paper is not only heat-sealable, but also has a notable <strong>Moisture barrier against water vapour<\/strong>. It also ensures good printing results and thus guarantees a high-quality visual effect of the packaged goods.
