Efficient, sustainable and ergonomic: FACIDO GmbH has invested in a customised packaging system from Packsize GmbH and Becker Group. The automated solution enables the logistics service provider to dispatch each individual customer order with customised cartons. This significantly reduces the volume of cartons and material consumption. At the same time, the subsidiary of suki.international benefits in terms of ergonomics and efficiency.<\/p>\n

\u201eWe worked with standard cardboard boxes for a long time. Unfortunately, these are not optimal in terms of material consumption, work steps and shipping quality,\u201c explains Ralf Yilmaz<\/strong>, Head of Operations and Logistics at suki-group. In search of alternatives, the logistics service provider for the DIY sector initially turned to the Becker Group.<\/p>\n

For FACIDO, the packaging specialists developed a customised packaging process<\/strong>, which extends from the provision of loose ordered products to the order cancellation of the ready-to-ship cartons. \u201eThe new line has improved our packaging process in terms of efficiency, ergonomics and sustainability,\u201c says Yilmaz.<\/p>

The focus of the optimisation is on the employee. The workload is reduced thanks to automated processes, as Friedl explains: \u201eThe dimensions of the ordered products are sent directly from the merchandise management system to the EM7 cutting machine from Packsize. This produces a customised box for each individual order.\u201c<\/p>\n

At the same time, the corresponding order items reach the packing station on the product conveyor belt. This significantly reduces the carton volume and the Packaging and filling material consumption decreases<\/strong> significantly. At the same time, shipping and transport processing is improved thanks to the reduction in volume.<\/p>\n

A vacuum folding table then erects the carton. \u201eThe FACIDO employee then simply places the items in the carton before it is automatically sealed with hot glue,\u201c explains Friedl. This means that the logistics service provider no longer has to make the necessary journeys and manoeuvres between product provision and the dispatch warehouse. \u201eThanks to the semi-automatic packaging line<\/strong> not only significantly reduces the workload for our employees, we can also utilise their skills more efficiently,\u201c explains Yilmaz.<\/p>\n

Cooperation to be strengthened<\/h2>\n

FACIDO currently uses the complete solution for articles in the area of Sun protection such as blinds and roller blinds<\/strong> in. A second line packed Carpets and sanitary accessories<\/strong>. It serves both trade customers and end consumers who order from DIY stores or directly from the manufacturer.<\/p>\n

\u201ePacksize's innovative solutions and distinctive technical and process expertise convinced us. We would like to intensify our collaboration even further in the coming months.\u201c<\/p>\n

Among other things, FACIDO is planning to use the new On Demand Packaging\u00ae system<\/strong> M1. This enables the Landscheid-based company to sign off each order directly from the system after automatic carton sealing using the integrated print function and barcode.<\/p>\n
