The runner-up, just behind Mir\u00e1coli, is a <strong>Carrot juice from Hipp<\/strong>, whose price has more than doubled. Third to fifth place is taken by a <strong>Rama margarine<\/strong>, <strong>Chocolate from Milka<\/strong> and the <strong>Frosties cereals<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Improving the situation for consumers<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>While the manufacturers <strong>the filling quantity<\/strong> the dealers place l<strong>aut Antitrust law<\/strong> the prices.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201eWe have hardly any chance of recognising hidden price increases in retail, and we can't take any legal action,\u201c says consumer advocate <strong>Valet<\/strong>. \u201eOne person passes the buck to the other and in the end it wasn't anyone's fault.\u201c<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Federal Consumer Protection Minister Christine Lambrecht<\/strong> According to press reports, the company now wants to ensure that hidden price increases for <strong>more clarity<\/strong> is taken care of.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201eWe take the minister at her word and are calling for a transparency platform on which manufacturers must publish changes to filling quantities, including the RRP. If this information were supplemented by retail prices, consumers would no longer be so easily ripped off.\u201c<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2><b>More and more complaints to the consumer advice centre<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Over 2,500 complaints<\/strong> of deceptive packaging were received by the Hamburg Consumer Advice Centre last year. In addition to <strong>Hidden price increases<\/strong> Consumers are particularly annoyed by <strong>Packaging with lots of air and little content<\/strong>, that pollute the environment.
