This year, a unique solution for logistics optimisation will be presented at LogiMAT in Stuttgart: Here, a mobile robot from MiR communicates with the PALOMAT AMR pallet magazine, which serves as a pallet buffer and docking station.

This ensures an efficient flow in the logistics chain, as the PALOMAT AMR has learnt the robot language, Empty pallets stacked or collected at any time using mobile robots can be realised.

Majbritt Svane, Area Manager (Image: PALOMAT)

Answers to questions from the market

PALOMAT launched PALOMAT AGV in March 2018, which was well received by the market. At the same time, a new request arose on the part of logistics employees. Specialist dealers of various makes of mobile robot, also known as AMR Autonomous Mobile Robots - asked for PALOMAT AMR as the natural successor to PALOMAT AGV.

„We listened to the market and decided in 2019 to collaborate with the world's leading manufacturer of mobile robots, Mobile Industrial Robots, to initiate this process. Thanks to an extremely constructive process, we are already able to offer MiR's specialist dealers a solution for Fully automated pallet handling offer. In an industry with bottleneck problems, this makes a lot of sense,“ says Majbritt Svane, Area Manager, PALOMAT.

The new invention will be available from PALOMAT's specialist dealers and can be viewed on MiR's online platform for integrated products, MiRGo.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display:block;text-align:center" data-ad-layout="in-article" data-ad-format="fluid" data-ad-client="ca-pub-2686439340972671" data-ad-slot="6171251825"></ins>

„If we recognise opportunities for our end users to gain even greater benefits from our mobile robots, we are of course willing to look at it. The invention therefore ensures both Higher productivity as well as a Healthier working environmentIt reduces or eliminates forklift driving and prevents back problems and trapped hands or feet.

A study has shown that in Germany alone, around 40 Accidents at work witht forklift trucks and pallet lifters. According to ESAW (European Statistics on Accidents at Work), around 10 % of all accidents caused by forklift trucks have serious consequences for those involved. PALOMAT AMR ensures that even flow and the ongoing tidying of the production areas, even when employees are taking their well-earned breaks.

Amortisation within 12-18 months

Mobile robots can basically only pick up one pallet per rack, just as they cannot pick up pallets at floor level. However, with a fully automated pallet magazine, a mobile robot can all necessary pallets pick up and deliver without involving or physically straining employees. In a PALOMAT AMR 15 pallets of space. Automation ensures that the pallets are docked evenly.

The Amortisation period for the PALOMAT AMR was calculated at 12-18 months. The original PALOMAT pallet magazine was invented long before mobile robots. It is manufactured in Denmark and saw the light of day in 1992. Today it is used in the manufacturing industry, including the pharmaceutical and food industries, as well as in the logistics sector.

PALOMAT at the LogiMAT 2020: Hall 7, Stand A16

Source: Palomat

At LogiMAT, PALOMAT is presenting an innovation in the field of pallet handling: with the PALOMAT AMR, mobile robots can travel under a pallet magazine and set down or pick up empty pallets.
[7,21
61,84,60
0":"post-30725","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-messen-und-veranstaltungen","8":"category-verpackungstechnik","9":"tag-endverpacken","10":"tag-logimat","11":"tag-schrumpfen-stretchen-palettieren","12":"cs-entry","13":"cs-video-wrap
["GET
