{"id":30906,"date":"2020-02-17T08:26:55","date_gmt":"2020-02-17T07:26:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/?p=30906"},"modified":"2020-02-16T16:22:14","modified_gmt":"2020-02-16T15:22:14","slug":"logimat-intralogistics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/en\/logimat-intralogistik\/","title":{"rendered":"Future-proof solutions for efficient intralogistics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From 10 to 12 March 2020, over 1,650 international exhibitors will be showcasing the latest innovations and future-proof solutions for intelligent control of modern intralogistics processes at LogiMAT, the 18th International Trade Fair for Intralogistics Solutions and Process Management.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Packaging industry and AutoID sector<\/strong> are facing fundamentally new market requirements with regard to <strong>Sustainability and climate neutrality<\/strong> of their products and solutions. At LogiMAT 2020 in Stuttgart, the international manufacturers in the two exhibition areas will therefore also be showcasing the latest products and concepts for optimised CO<sub>2<\/sub>-footprint of their customers.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Manufacturer of packaging and packaging machines<\/strong>However differentiated their range of solutions may be, they face exciting challenges: After the record year of 2018, in which machine manufacturers, for example, achieved the highest growth of the past decade with an increase of eight per cent and a turnover of 7.1 billion euros, the <strong>VDMA Food Processing and Packaging Machinery Association<\/strong> for the past year <strong>moderate increase of no more than two per cent<\/strong>. The situation is hardly any different for packaging and packaging material manufacturers. Environmental compatibility and multi-purpose suitability are increasingly characterising consumer behaviour and challenging manufacturers. At LogiMAT, exhibitors in Halls 4 and 6 will be presenting their latest developments in sustainable packaging solutions.<\/p>\n<h2>Platform for intralogistics<\/h2>\n<blockquote><p>\"The topic of digitalisation has now arrived in companies,\" says <strong>Michael Ruchty.<\/strong>\u00a0 \"However, many companies are hesitant when it comes to the concrete implementation of digital transformation, as a large number of current studies show. Many decision-makers are not yet clear about where the journey is heading when it comes to technological developments. They have a great need for information and are therefore reluctant to invest in the solutions on offer.\"<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Against this backdrop, LogiMAT sees itself as a <strong>Platform for intralogistics<\/strong>The exhibitors will present a cross-section of the current range of solutions with their exhibits - including numerous world premieres. The number of international exhibitors rose by a further five per cent compared to the previous year to 495 companies. For the three days of the fair, the organiser is expecting <strong>more than 65,000 trade visitors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Digitalised retail and logistics processes<\/h2>\n<p>A new feature is the positioning of the <strong>TradeWorld information platform<\/strong>. In the East Entrance area, it forms the centrepiece, so to speak, of those exhibitors who <strong>Special solutions for digitalisation and automation<\/strong> of retail processes.
