Kuraray is now investing 42 million euros in the first Monosol plant in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>The demand for <strong>water-soluble PVOH films<\/strong>, The global demand for packaging, for example for dosing pods for detergents and as single-dose packaging for cosmetics, pharmaceutical and care products, is increasing. <strong>Curaray<\/strong>, one of the leading <strong>Speciality chemicals manufacturer<\/strong> based in Tokyo, and its subsidiary Monosol, offers PVOH materials that are biodegradable and <strong>Dissolve completely in water<\/strong>.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Kuraray is now investing five billion yen (<strong>around 42 million euros<\/strong>) in the construction of a <strong>new production site<\/strong> in Zimna W\u00f3dka, Poland. With the <strong>first Monosol plant in Europe<\/strong> Kuraray intends to expand its global supply chain and focus more strongly on the growing European market. Until now, the <strong>US-American Monosol, LLC<\/strong>, a wholly owned subsidiary of <strong>Japanese Kuraray Co., Ltd.<\/strong>, The water-soluble PVOH films are mainly produced in the Midwest of the USA. In addition to its presence in Europe, the new plant in Zimna W\u00f3dka will also complement and expand the global supply chains. This will enable Kuraray to serve customers worldwide even more flexibly and quickly in future.<\/p>\n<h2>Water-soluble film: well packaged, no packaging waste<\/h2>\n<p>In addition to use in the <strong>Detergent and rinsing agent industry<\/strong> PVOH films from Monosol offer numerous other application possibilities, for example in the field of <strong>Body care<\/strong>.
