For the fourth time, the environmental organisation is calling on people to fast from plastic during Lent.<\/p>\n<p>From Ash Wednesday to Easter Sunday, BUND wants to sensitise consumers on social networks to the problem of disposable products and packaging. The aim is to show that many plastic products are superfluous or can easily be replaced by more sustainable alternatives.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201eWe invite people to take a closer look and decide: Do I really need this product and if so, is it available without plastic or can I transport the product in a different way than in plastic packaging? Whether in the bathroom, when shopping, for clothes or when travelling: the easiest way is to look at individual areas of daily life and <a href=\"http:\/\/airmail.calendar\/2020-02-20%2012:00:00%20MEZ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a> to strive for improvements.\u201c<br \/>\n<em><br \/>\nBUND waste expert Rolf Buschmann <\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>BUND is calling on those taking part in the campaign to use the hashtag <strong>1TP5Plastic fasting<\/strong> to report on their experiences on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube and share tips on how to save plastic.
