With GaBi Packaging CalculatoR+, companies can now quickly and comprehensively analyse the environmental impact of packaging - from production to transport and recycling.<\/p>\n

The Environmental services provider Interseroh<\/strong> and the provider of EHS and product stewardship solutions, Sphera,<\/strong> have the new online tool<\/strong> developed to optimise the sustainability of packaging.<\/p>\n

\u201eBeyond recycling, we are also committed to more environmentally friendly packaging and the avoidance of climate-damaging emissions. The new, Intuitive configurator<\/strong> creates greater transparency and provides manufacturers with a good basis for making decisions to improve packaging design across the board,\u201c says Markus M\u00fcller-Drexel<\/strong>, Managing Director of Interseroh Dienstleistungs GmbH.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The online tool is based on a parameterised Model from Sphera<\/strong>, which maps the life cycle of packaging and provides a Variety of environmental data<\/strong> on materials and manufacturing processes.<\/p>

This is where the expertise of the Recycling specialists Interseroh<\/strong> in. With \u201eMade for recycling\u201c<\/strong> the company offers a scientifically based evaluation method to analyse the recyclability of packaging in the laboratory. The Interseroh service based on this method \u201eCheck for Recycling\u201c<\/strong> enables the customers to simple online test<\/strong> to find out for themselves how well their product packaging can be collected separately, sorted and recycled into new products.<\/p>\n

\u201eOur collaboration allows users to use a single tool to create life cycle assessments of packaging, determine its recyclability and compare design alternatives in terms of their different environmental impacts,\u201c says Sophie Kieselbach<\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Simply select materials and processes, enter product specifications, define transport routes and generate the report: Users can obtain meaningful data in just a few steps. This gives Safety with regard to the Packaging Act<\/strong> - and provides companies with convincing sales arguments.<\/p>
