Schmalz GmbH has developed a modular, compact flow gripper for handling dry food products. This enables waffles, biscuits and other baked goods to be packed quickly and safely.

Food-safe, lightweight and effective sealing are important features of the new SFG flow gripper from Schmalz. This means it can Food with highly textured surfaces quickly and gently. Its sealing lip is soft and flexible. The SFG can therefore safely handle even sensitive food with minimum surface pressure grab. And this is irrespective of whether chocolate pieces or the wafer embossing give the surface an uneven texture. In line with the high hygiene requirements, Schmalz designed the new gripper from food-safe material.

Flow gripper for dynamic processes

The gripper consists of a base module with a compressed air connection. This is where the vacuum is generated, which the SFG uses to safely suck up the food. The exhaust air duct, the suction cup and an adapter for mounting on horizontal surfaces are connected to this.
