For the sixth time in a row, the Forum Wellpappe Austria honoured outstanding product ideas made of corrugated board. Baby elephant, bag-in-box, high-tech mailing envelope for micro-chips, sample case for cable plugs, just-in-recycling box, to Vienna Ferris wheel. This is just a small selection of the packaging ideas that were submitted to the Corrugated Board Austria Award this year.<\/p>\n

An independent jury of experts nominated the finalists from 37 entries and selected the winners. The Corrugated Board Austria Award is presented in six categories: from creative, constructive, point-of-sale and display to sustainable. In the young talent category, a Facebook vote decided the winner.<\/p>\n

\nDS Smith Packaging Austria, Kalsdorf, won the Constructive Corrugated Board category with its transport box for door hinges.<\/p>\n

Musterbox Taurus 2, the packaging for cable connectors from Gruber Kartonagen, won the Point-of-Sale category.<\/p>
