The Italian company now also offers packaging for fruit and vegetables that is 100% made of paper and therefore fully recyclable.

There are already many paper fruit and vegetable packs on the market. However, Sorma considers its solution to be particularly innovative. The packs have a window made of cellulose fibres. This is intended to allow the packaged product to „breathe“ and extend its shelf life. At the same time, it offers greater safety.

With this new packaging series, the Sorma Group wants to expand its range of environmentally sustainable solutions. Previous steps on this path have been a mono-material line made of recyclable plastic, which has become up to 70% lighter over time. In addition, the company's own „Sormapeel“ line, which combines plastic and paper, was patented and launched onto the market at the beginning of the year.

The new paper packaging will initially be available in five variants: As a „PaperPillow” with and without a handle, “PaperStandup”, also with or without a handle, and PaperVertbag.
