Its new Eco-Loop loop labels are made from 100 per cent bio-based material.

According to the company, the hard-wearing thermal transfer labels are made from 70 per cent sugar cane and 30 per cent natural materials. The materials are based on ground residues that are produced during sugar production after sugar cane is pressed or during the extraction of syrup from sugar millet. The characteristics of the bio-based material are comparable to conventional plastic labels made from petroleum. They can be used in most areas of application without any problems.

„At present, we are experiencing an increase in demand, particularly due to the legal and regulatory framework conditions. Very strong demand for such environmentally friendly labelling solutions. Consumers today are very aware of the issue and are more willing to pay more for more sustainability in products, packaging and labelling.“ Andreas Ziegler, Business Unit Manager of Güse GmbH

Plant-based loop labels are easy to process

The labels can be processed as usual during customisation.
