The result: recyclability was confirmed for all types with a very high fibre yield.<\/p>\n<p>VVK had a representative selection of solid board packaging with different material qualities and material combinations <strong>at the Department of Paper Technology and Mechanical Process Engineering (PMV) at the Technical University of Darmstadt<\/strong> have it examined.<\/p>\n<p>The results confirm the circular nature of solid board cartons, trays and crates: Recyclability with a very high fibre yield was confirmed for all solid board packaging types tested.<\/p><div class=\"packa-in-post-alle\" style=\"text-align: center;\" id=\"packa-200224038\"><div id=\"packa-2735613387\"><a data-no-instant=\"1\" href=\"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/en\/newsletter\/\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"a2t-link\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"PJ Self-promotion English 03\"><!--noptimize--><img src=\"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/PJ-Eigenwerbung-English-03.png\" alt=\"\"  srcset=\"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/PJ-Eigenwerbung-English-03.png 840w, https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/PJ-Eigenwerbung-English-03-300x75.png 300w, https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/PJ-Eigenwerbung-English-03-768x192.png 768w, https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/PJ-Eigenwerbung-English-03-18x5.png 18w, https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/PJ-Eigenwerbung-English-03-332x83.png 332w, https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/PJ-Eigenwerbung-English-03-664x166.png 664w, https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/PJ-Eigenwerbung-English-03-688x172.png 688w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 840px) 100vw, 840px\" width=\"840\" height=\"210\"  style=\" max-width: 100%; height: auto;\" \/><!--\/noptimize--><\/a><\/div><\/div>\n<h2>Solid board packaging meets ZSVR standard<\/h2>\n<p>The investigations on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pmv.tu-darmstadt.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-schema-attribute=\"\">PMV<\/a> were carried out in accordance with the PTS method PTS-RH 021\/97:2012, which is also referred to in the <strong>ZSVR minimum standard for the recyclability of paper, cardboard and paperboard packaging refers to<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The packaging law requires <em>Minimum standard for assessing the recyclability of packaging subject to system participation<\/em> the <strong>Central Agency Packaging Register <\/strong>(<a href=\"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/?s=ZSVR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-schema-attribute=\"\">ZSVR<\/a>) defines the minimum criteria for determining the recyclability of packaging.<\/p>\n<p>In view of the current discussion on the harmonisation of the recyclability tests commonly used in Europe, a <strong>Significantly shorter defibration time<\/strong> of 10 minutes than in the PTS method with 20 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Raw material recycling has a long tradition in the production of solid board. Today, packaging made from solid board is<strong> almost 100 per cent from the secondary raw material waste paper<\/strong> which is collected in trade, industry, administration and households.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of its life cycle, solid board packaging is properly recycled.
