A Berlin product designer makes them from recycled porcelain waste and now wants to bring the sustainable solution to market.<\/p>\n<p>Georgia von le Fort says she loves working with porcelain. For her bachelor's thesis at the Berlin University of the Arts, she has now developed a method to <strong>Porcelain shards through grinding and sintering<\/strong> back into a solid material.<\/p>\n<p>The designer uses them to create Relics - containers made from recycled porcelain that allow fruit and vegetables to be kept for longer thanks to their strength and porosity. In this case, a dark, airy, dry climate at room temperature prevails, which ensures a <strong>Storage facility for fresh food<\/strong> that are sensitive to cold, lose their flavour in the cold or need to ripen for a short time.<\/p>\n<p>The prototypes developed for the thesis were produced in the university's workshop at great expense. Now, together with her sister, the designer <strong>Bringing Relics to market maturity<\/strong>.
