{"id":44631,"date":"2021-05-14T09:10:24","date_gmt":"2021-05-14T07:10:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/?p=44631"},"modified":"2021-05-20T09:27:06","modified_gmt":"2021-05-20T07:27:06","slug":"ifbb-develops-biomaterial-for-rebowl","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/en\/ifbb-entwickelt-biomaterial-fur-rebowl\/","title":{"rendered":"New Rebowl soon to be made from bioplastics?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Institute for Bioplastics and Biocomposites (Ifbb) at Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts is working with Crafting future to develop a bio-based material for the new Rebowl reusable bowl for Recup; the aim is to change the material in the near future.<\/p>\n<p>The deposit tray <em>Rebowl<\/em> was successfully launched in April by the Munich-based start-up Recup GmbH in collaboration with its partner Crafting future GmbH with the support of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ifbb-hannover.de\/de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-schema-attribute=\"\">IfBB<\/a> was launched on the market. According to the deposit system <a href=\"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/?s=recup\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-schema-attribute=\"\"><em>Recup<\/em> <\/a>for reusable coffee-to-go cups is now available <strong>also for to-go<em>-<\/em>a reusable deposit system for meals<\/strong>. The sustainable concept of take-away food and drinks in reusable deposit containers is being further expanded.<\/p>\n<p>Together with the start-up for measurably sustainable products Crafting future, the IfBB is now developing <a href=\"https:\/\/recup.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-schema-attribute=\"\">Recup<\/a> a sustainable bio-based material for the new reusable tray <a href=\"https:\/\/rebowl.de\/pfandschale\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-schema-attribute=\"\"><em>Rebowl<\/em> <\/a>for to-go food. Following the intensive cooperation between the three partners in the first step, the next step is to further optimise the material. To this end, Recup and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.craftingfuture.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-schema-attribute=\"\">Crafting future<\/a> The company is expanding its collaboration with the IfBB at Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts, the experts in the field of developing bio-based plastics.<\/p>\n<h2>Smooth change of material<\/h2>\n<p>The challenge here is that the bioplastic must be holistically sustainable and be convincing in terms of use and reuse (approved for food, sufficiently heat-resistant, scratch-proof, dishwasher-proof and microwave-proof) as well as recyclability and cost-effectiveness.
