The competition's top prize, the Pida Gold Award, went to the \u201eLost in Senses\u201c packaging project.<\/p>\n<p>According to the jury, the winning packaging for a tea set perfectly fulfils this year's task - to create packaging, <strong>that appeals to all the senses<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The winning team, design students Jenny Noshi, Anna Carl\u00e9n, Moa Tillbom and Martin Lilius from Nackademin on their project: \u201eIt's a great feeling to win the Pida Gold Award. Our design is colourful and detailed, with matte and glossy print, pop-ups and interactive panels that draw the eye. In a way, the packaging is the product. Here the<strong> Swedish design students against the winners of the other three semi-finals<\/strong> students from the USA\/UK, France and Germany.<\/p>\n<h2>More students honoured in the Pida design competition<\/h2>\n<p>Three further prizes were awarded during the event. \u201eNorg\u00e5rd\u201c, a packaging for organic skin care, received the <strong>Highest Level of Innovation Award<\/strong>. The <strong>Highest Level of User Friendliness Award<\/strong> went to the \u201eWild\u201c entry, a gift box for wine. We discussed and debated the entries at length before deciding on the winning team in each category. (Image: BillerudKorsn\u00e4s)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>Creative arena for the packaging industry<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/?s=Billerudkorsn%C3%A4s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-schema-attribute=\"\">BillerudKorsn\u00e4s<\/a>, the company behind Pida, is organising the competition i<strong>n Collaboration with leading universities and design colleges<\/strong> in the USA, Great Britain, France, Germany and Sweden. The competition gives students the opportunity to work on a real packaging design project under the same conditions as an authentic brief. It is also a chance for the students to present their ideas and creativity to established professionals who come to the events each year to be inspired and meet the packaging designers of tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eWith Pida, we want to drive forward the development of packaging design and at the same time create a meeting place for the industry and schools. This year marks the 16th anniversary of the competition and interest is growing year on year - both at schools and in the packaging industry.
