In doing so, the company wants to emphasise that it will increasingly focus on more sustainable packaging solutions in the future.<\/strong><\/p><p>McDonald's is giving grass! As part of its roadmap to reduce plastic and packaging waste. At that time, papers from the\u00a0<\/span>start-up Apomore from Dettenhausen in Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2721083 exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"2721083\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Paper made from grass to help save money<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8c32a05 exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"8c32a05\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Thanks to innovative processes and the incorporation of grass fibres into the paper, large amounts of energy, water and CO<sub>2<\/sub> is saved in production. In addition, no chemicals are used in the production of this fibre.<\/p><p>The grass paper used by McDonald's contains 20 per cent grass, is FSC-licensed and does not require long transport routes. It comes from existing grassland and therefore does not compete with other utilisation options.
