This new packaging has a PP top and bottom film for thermoforming applications and a PP label instead of a paper label, so that the new solution can be fully recycled. To keep our cheese fresh, the packaging had to offer the same barrier protection as the previous film and be lighter in weight. Mondi worked very closely with us to trial and test the best packaging solutions. In the end, the lighter film and improved product-to-package ratio allowed us to reduce the amount of plastic used by 23 %.
