To do this, they need a mobile plant that enables the development of new formulations with the <strong>different dosing systems<\/strong> flexible and under <strong>different OEB levels<\/strong> possible. But that's not all: the systems used should also be easy to scale up to production,\u201c explains <strong>Matthias M\u00f6ssinger<\/strong>, Senior Market Expert Pharma Solid at Syntegon, describes the new development.<\/p>\n<h2>High flexibility and low space requirements<\/h2>\n<p>With just six stations, the GKF 60 is extremely compact. \u201eNevertheless, a total of <strong>three filling stations<\/strong> can be integrated in parallel. Customers can choose from numerous options - from the newly developed piezo dosing system to the familiar dosing modules for dry powder inhalation (DPI), pellets, tablets or liquids, through to the mini-bowl station for scaling up to the next larger production machine,\u201c explains M\u00f6ssinger. This is particularly important for very high-priced active ingredients, <strong>small quantities flexibly and with as little product loss as possible<\/strong> filling. In addition, each dosing station can be optionally equipped with gravimetric 100 per cent weighing for each dosed component. \u201eWith these and numerous other options, such as cameras and sensors, the new capsule filling machine provides the necessary control during the running process. <strong>Quality control<\/strong> and guarantees the highest product quality,\u201c says M\u00f6ssinger.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>From OEB3 to High Containment<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Customers can choose the GKF 60 either in the standard version, the containment version or a combined solution. With the newly developed <strong>Switching concept<\/strong> the capsule filling machine offers maximum flexibility. \u201eThanks to interchangeable cabin elements and a sophisticated cleaning concept, including WIP (washing in place), the combi-solution can be adapted for both simple and highly potent formulations up to OEB5 High-Containment in just a few simple steps,\u201c says M\u00f6ssinger. Another novelty: \u201eThanks to the identical basic machine design, the standard version can be easily retrofitted.<\/p>\n<p>The separate control cabinet with integrated operator interface and particularly user-friendly dashboard saves even more space. \u201eThe GKF 60 is a future-proof machine that can be <strong>further develop in the direction of automation and Industry 4.0<\/strong> will be,\u201c emphasises M\u00f6ssinger. As the new capsule filling machine is also compatible with the GKF 720, Syntegon's smallest production-scale capsule filling machine, nothing stands in the way of scaling up newly developed formulations.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.syntegon.com\/de\/services\/syntegon-fe-services\/pharma-services-feste-darreichungsformen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-schema-attribute=\"\">Syntegon<\/a> will be presenting the GKF 60 at the virtual Achema Pulse on 15 and 16 June 2021.
