The Aluminium Closures Group proudly reports that more wines were sold with aluminium closures in 2020 than ever before.<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>Countries with a particularly high proportion of wines with aluminium closures are Germany, Austria, Australia, New Zealand, the UK and the USA.<\/p>\n<p>In the year of the pandemic, the global share of aluminium closures for wine increased by 2 percentage points from 31 % in 2019 to 33 %, (Europe: 30 to 32%) across all closure types for wine in both retail and foodservice.
