The new solution consists mainly of cardboard and is designed to make the transition easier for food manufacturers.

The Ecko-Pack cardboard trays are suitable for perishable and ultra-fresh foods such as fish, meat, salads, berries and ready meals. The start-up aims to create a Affordable alternative to conventional MAP plastic trays offer. The new trays are made of 80 per cent cardboard and only 20 per cent plastic.

To meet the different needs of the industry, the company has now added further moulds to its range, including the Ecko round tray. It is particularly stable thanks to its 8-sided shape and is also suitable for heavier products.
