The company HexcelPack has developed a stretchable material for load securing pallets that is made from 100 per cent paper. The patented PalletWrap is recyclable and can be processed on existing systems.<\/p>\n

Hexcelpack specialises in the development of environmentally friendly, paper-based protective padding solutions that can replace conventional bubble wrap and other plastic or foam-based materials. With Palletwrap, the company has now developed a plastic-free alternative to conventional wrapping film. PEFC-certified, 100 per cent paper-based packaging material for pallets<\/strong> was launched on the market.<\/p>\n

Hexagonal patterns ensure stretchability<\/h2>\n

The innovative material provides protection and adhesion to ensure the integrity of the goods during transport. The solution utilises a new variant of HexcelPack's slit paper technology: in this process, the paper is cut with precision to create a into a three-dimensional upholstered product<\/strong> transformed.<\/p>

The cuts create hexagonal pattern<\/strong>which ensure that the paper product can stretch. The result is a strong wrapping that can be stretched to almost twice its length and wraps the pallets quickly and securely before transport.<\/p>\n

Palletwrap can be processed on existing wrapping systems and requires no major modifications, meaning that customers can use the new material immediately. The new wrapping material will be shown at Pack Expo 2021 in Las Vegas in September.<\/p>
