It is well known that plastic packaging is under particular scrutiny. The public debate about this is quite emotional. In our third industry talk, we have ensured objectification and consensus.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c47786b exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c47786b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Plastic is fantastic. If you now think that this statement can only be made by a plastic packaging manufacturer, you're right.<wbr \/>you are wrong. In the third round of our series <a href=\"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/tv-live\/\"><strong>packaging journal TV Live<\/strong><\/a> IfBB Director Andrea Siebert-Raths, the Wuppertal Institute's circular economy expert Henning Wilts and <a href=\"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/tag\/alpla\/\">Alpla<\/a>-Philipp Lehner agreed: \"The <strong>positive properties of plastic<\/strong> are too often forgotten.<\/p><p>However, there was also a consensus that plastics must be one thing above all else in the future: <strong>recyclable<\/strong>. Whether made from petroleum or renewable raw materials, biodegradability or compostability alone cannot be a sustainable solution.
