Torwegge has installed an environmentally friendly packaging system from Sealed Air that uses recycled paper instead of bubble wrap. The ergonomics of the workstations have also been improved.<\/p>\n

More sustainable and ergonomic: with the new, environmentally friendly packaging system from Sealed Air, the Bielefeld-based company is reducing its CO2 emissions. At the same time, the intralogistics specialist is improving the ergonomics of workstations in the shipping department. So for example, the system provides the packaging material at gripping height<\/strong>so that work can be carried out without physically strenuous bending and turning movements. This also reduces the time required per package. In addition, the walking distances for employees in the logistics area are now significantly shorter, which also helps to reduce the workload.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the search for an ecological solution, the company was Sealed Air<\/a> attentive. For its solutions, the global packaging specialist relies on materials that 100 per cent recyclable and biodegradable<\/strong> are.<\/span><\/p>

The new system comes in Torwegges<\/a> logistics, where the wheels, castors and conveyor technology components are prepared for dispatch. There, the goods are now Packaged in recycled paper instead of the bubble wrap commonly used in the industry<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A chute transports the paper pads into a collection container installed above the respective packing table. The container can be refilled at the touch of a button. It can also hold up to 1.5 kilometres of paper, which reduces the time required for filling and therefore reduced the average time required per package<\/strong>. The space-saving installation on the gallery also creates additional storage space for the company's products.<\/span><\/p>\n
