The US manufacturer has entered into a co-operation with <strong>Sun Chemical<\/strong> to develop and produce these attractive aluminium cans with their remarkable and innovative Spot Varnish Ink Technology.<\/p><p>This was CCL's response to strong customer interest in this new option in printing technology and the desire for new ways to design aluminium cans.\u00a0<\/p><p>The special thing about this promising technology, but also a special challenge, is that it no longer uses a traditional coating varnish in the conventional sense. Instead, it is integrated into the printing ink as an additive and can therefore fulfil its function. Without coating varnish - whether traditional or as an additive in the printing ink - it would be extremely difficult to mould the can. According to the manufacturing company, the winning can is the first aluminium aerosol can to be printed with an ecological and sustainable printing ink. The ink used is free from mineral, palm, soya bean and coconut oil, thus helping to protect the world's rainforests. Furthermore, no genetically modified organic substances are used. Finally, all binding agents are based on renewable sources.
