A new type of process control for longitudinal sealing processes will also be on show.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Reclosable packaging - especially made from sustainable packaging materials - is becoming increasingly popular. Herrmann Ultraschall has now developed a module that utilises the advantages of ultrasonic sealing for mono-materials and paper-based materials for stand-up pouches and tubular bags with an integrated zipper. The ZSM zipper sealing module takes up little space, is hygienic and delivers consistent sealing results, even at varying processing speeds.<\/p>\n<p>This is made possible by an optimised combination of ultrasonic generator and the ZSM. The ULTRAPACK generator used is specially designed for high-speed packaging applications and enables reproducible control of the sealing process. The material to be welded is fed between the two sonotrodes and heated and fused by their action. Stopping and restarting is not necessary, but is possible if required. The system can be operated at variable speeds, thus increasing flexibility in production.
