This is part of the company's commitment to make 100 per cent of its packaging reusable, recyclable or compostable by 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The new packaging was developed by <a href=\"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/?s=ferrero\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-schema-attribute=\"\">Ferrero<\/a> Research and development team together with the material experts from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.milliken.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-schema-attribute=\"\">Milliken<\/a> developed. As part of the collaboration <strong>Over 29 different plastic resins developed and tested<\/strong>. The result: an ecologically designed box that is intended to gradually reduce the use of plastics and the impact on the climate while retaining the transparency of the familiar box.<\/p>\n<h2>Recyclable polypropylene box<\/h2>\n<p>The new Ferrero Rocher cartons are made from polypropylene (PP), which makes them easier to recycle. According to the company, they also use around 40 per cent less plastic than the previous packaging. The company intends to reduce the <strong>to switch the entire Ferrero Rocher portfolio to recyclable packaging<\/strong>. The chocolate manufacturer estimates that around 10,000 tonnes of plastic could then be saved.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\"The ecologically designed Ferrero Rocher box is a clear example of our commitment to improving the circularity of packaging.
