The company has expanded its inlay production to include the realisation of custom-fit foam inlays made from the biopolymer Arboblend.<\/strong><\/p><p>The Thuringian company <a title=\"Our contributions on the subject of W.AG\" href=\"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/tag\/w-ag\/\">W.AG<\/a> is expanding its <strong>Biopolymer Arboblend<\/strong> manufactured product range by <strong>Foam inserts for cases<\/strong>. W.AG presented this innovation at this year's <a title=\"Our articles on the subject of Fachpack\" href=\"https:\/\/packaging-journal.de\/tag\/fachpack\/\">Specialist pack<\/a> presented. Previously, the company had already manufactured case half-shells from the material. This is a mix of materials consisting of <strong>Glucose, natural waxes, minerals and natural fibres<\/strong>which can be processed using established plastics technology processes. In 2020, the material received the seal of approval from the international brand assessment organisation <a title=\"Homepage of the NGO Green Brands\" href=\"https:\/\/green-brands.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Green Brands<\/a>.<\/p><p>While Arboblend gives the housings and half-shells of the Organicline cases and boxes a <strong>Robustness comparable to polypropylene<\/strong> it enables the realisation of precise, firm, sterile and water-repellent foam inlays in inlay production.<\/p><p>According to Bj\u00f6rn Ullrich, \"they are in no way inferior to conventional inlays in terms of quality and reliability and can be <strong>on identically adjusted machines<\/strong> are manufactured. Our new Organicline foam is also recyclable and is produced using the extrusion process - a technology that produces low levels of pollutants in a closed CO<sub>2<\/sub>-cycle and does not require any chemical additives\".
