Plastics Europe is also driving this change. Among other things, plastics producers are focussing on a circular economy that not only makes other industries more sustainable, but also transforms plastic into a resource that does not become waste in the first place.<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 2\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>This directional decision is in line with Plastics Europe's recent positions on the circular economy, such as the announcement of investments totalling more than \u20ac7 billion in chemical recycling by European plastics producers by 2030.<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 2\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>\"<strong>Plastics Europe. Enabling a sustainable future<\/strong> is the claim and the strategic goal of our industry,\u201c says Markus Steilemann, President of Plastics Europe.
